Kathryn Fortin is an eLearning consultant and eLearning solutions architect who has defined project requirements, designed, configured, built, and provided technical support on many eLearning projects. With over 25 years of experience providing technical project management, needs & workflow analysis and infrastructure support; Kathryn has the critically needed skills to bridge the communication gap between non-technical stakeholders, IT and development. Some of the companies she has worked with include Macmillan Learning, Sephora, Kaiser Permanente, School of Allied Health, University of Illinois - Chicago, Moving Knowledge, Delmonte, SDG&E, University of Santa Clara and PG&E.

In 2014 she received her certificate in Gamification of Learning, and in 2005 Kathryn obtain her vocational teaching credential in Business Management and Computer Applications; these have continued to expand her knowledge in Education Technology (eLearning) where she enjoys blending her technical and project management expertise and pushing the innovation envelope with education delivery.

“Adding interactive activities in online training, not only increases the engagement level of the participants, it also increases the retention of the material being taught” says Kathryn, “with adding engaging activities, we also increased the post training feedback scores from the trainees”. Kathryn has spoken at Moodle conferences on project management, open badges and gamification of learning.
